Idaho Board of Health and Welfare Meets Nov. 17^th

The Idaho Board of Health and Welfare will hold it regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Pete T. Cenarrusa Building, 450 West State St. in Boise. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the 10^th floor conference room and is expected to adjourn at approximately 4 p.m.

During the meeting, the board will review the proposed rules that will be presented to the 2012 Legislature for approval. This year’s dockets include rules that:

• Clarify the process for criminal history background checks for people who work with vulnerable populations, such as children, the elderly, or people with disabilities;
• Outline the requirements and standards for certification and licensure for people who provide Emergency Medical Services;  and
• Allow the sharing of child protection records with law enforcement during law enforcement investigations of child abuse or neglect.
