Idaho Staggered Issuance
Staggered Issuance begins July 1, 2016
rogram (SNAP) benefits, also known as Food Stamps, will see a change when their monthly benefits become available on the SNAP benefit card, also called an
ransfer (EBT) card.
Currently, all SNAP recipients get benefits on the 1st of the month. Under Staggered Issuance, the day that households get their benefits will be spread out over the first 10 days of the month. Starting July 1, 2016, current SNAP cardholders will receive SNAP benefits according to their assigned issuance date, which is based on the last digit of the cardholder's birth year. This means that most SNAP households will no longer receive their benefits on the 1st of the month.
