Medicaid Income Limits
To use the chart:
- Add up all gross income (before taxes) that your household receives for a month.
- On the chart, find your family size.
- Follow the row to find the income limit for your household size. For example, an adult with a family size of four would have to have income no greater than $382 in order to be eligible for Family Medicaid.
Children under age six will qualify for SCHIP rather than Medicaid when family income exceeds 133% of poverty. Children age six and over will qualify for SCHIP rather than Medicaid when family income exceeds 100% of poverty. To be eligible for SCHIP, children must not have other health insurance.
