Immunization recommendations are constantly changing. New vaccines are developed, vaccine recommendations are revised, vaccine shortages occur, and new immunization tools are created to improve provider practices. The Idaho Immunization Program offers education and training opportunities to help healthcare providers stay up-to-date on this important information.
ATTENTION PRIMARY AND BACK-UP VACCINE COORDINATORS
Beginning August 21, 2016, vaccine wastage and returns will be processed through IRIS. In order to transition to this functionality, the Idaho Immunization Program (IIP) will be holding 24 on-site trainings, in 13 different locations around Idaho. Each training will last approximately 2 hours. Primary and Back-up Vaccine Coordinators are encouraged to attend to ensure a smooth transition, proper wastage and return processing and accurate vaccine management.
The IIP will be offering a reimbursement of $45 per organization (per VFC pin number), for each organization that sends at least one attendee. Each organization will need to fill out a W9 form and submit it to the IIP to be eligible for the reimbursement. Forms can be submitted by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by fax at 208-334-4914.
Registration for these events is required and closes on July 6, 2016 at 5pm.
