The mission of the Idaho State Office of Rural Health and Primary Care is to promote access to quality health care for people in Idaho.

Small Hospital Improvement Grant Program — SHIP

 

The State Office of Rural Health administers this federally-funded grant program to provide assistance to qualifying small rural hospitals.

The grant program aims to assist eligible facilities with:

    • Paying for costs related to implementing Prospective Pay Systems
    • Complying with provisions of HIPAA
    • Reducing medical errors and supporting quality improvement

SHIP eligible facilities must submit applications to the State Office of Rural Health and meet all eligibility requirements defined by the federal grant guidance.
