Physician Commission

The Emergency Medical Services Physician Commission (EMSPC) is dedicated to serving EMS systems and providers throughout Idaho with EMS specific medical expertise and through open communication.

Our Vision is an optimal EMS system guided by evidence-based scopes of practice, dynamic medical direction, and judicious conflict resolution.

Airway Management Data Collection

In accordance with Section IX of the 2010-1 EMS Physician Commission Standards Manual, effective January 1, 2010, all EMS providers who attempt intubation on a patient in Idaho while responding with an Idaho-licensed EMS agency must submit data. Due to changes in departmental policy the Airway Survey is no longer available. The EMSPC is currently seeking alternative methods to gather this information.

The Physician Orders for Scope of Treatment (POST) and Safe Haven guidelines are required by statute to be followed by all levels of Idaho licensed EMS personnel.
