Dental services for Medicaid Basic Plan participants are provided by the Idaho Smiles program through a contract with Blue Cross Idaho, which is monitored by the Medical Care Unit. The Medical Care Unit also ensures that appropriate dental services are provided to Medicaid Enhanced Plan participants by reviewing and providing prior authorization for specified dental services.
