Behavioral Health Program Approval

The Division of Behavioral Health offers approval for community programs treating mental health and/or substance use disorders (SUD).

  • Approval by the Division is recognition of compliance with health, safety, environment of care, and program administration requirements detailed in IDAPA 16.07.15
  • Approval is required for treatment programs in the public SUD system. Approval is voluntary for all other behavioral health treatment programs.
  • Approval does not replace credentialing, oversight, or quality assurance activities performed by BPA Health or Optum Idaho (Idaho Behavioral Health Plan), and does not gain community programs entry into a public network.
