Frequently Asked Questions

Idaho's Response to the Opioid Crisis (IROC) is part of a federal grant with the intent of addressing the opiate crisis throughout the country.  The current grant is a 1-year grant that began July 1, 2017 and started accepting referrals for treatment, recovery support services, and MAT in August 2017.  

If you are interested in receiving treatment, recovery support services, or Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for an opiate use disorder, please call BPA Health at (800) 922-3406 for a screening.

To qualify for IROC, participants must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Rate in the last 30 days, have an opioid use disorder, and meet clinical eligibility through an assessment.

Some services include, but are not limited to:

  • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

  • Outpatient Services (Individual, Group, Family Counseling)

  • Case Management

  • Safe and Sober Housing

  • Drug Testing

  • Transportation for Treatment Services

  • Life Skills

  • Recovery Coaching

Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Detoxification Companion
  • Connection with a Recovery Coach upon release from jail or prison
  • Sober recreational and leisure activities at low or no cost

The benefit of participating in IROC is the ability to access reduced cost or free treatment, recovery support services, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).

BPA Health is a private entity contracted by the State of Idaho to manage the Treatment and Recovery Support Services network. They are responsible for :

  • Processing referrals and screening clients for eligibility

  • Conducting client intakes

  • Authorizing services and pay claims

  • Utilization management of client services

  • Quality assurance activities including provider audits
