Effective August 1, 2006, the Idaho Medicaid Reimbursement rate for procedure code V5266, battery for use in hearing device, will change to $1.00 per each from the current rate of $5.00.  In order to obtain proper reimbursement, providers will need to bill for each individual battery rather than billing per package (for example, if providing two packages of 5 batteries each, bill for ten units rather than two units).
