Promoting and protecting the health and safety of all Idahoans

Viral Hepatitis Prevention

An estimated 4.4 million Americans are living with chronic hepatitis; most do not know they are infected. This website will provide you with a variety of information meant to improve your knowledge of viral hepatitis and increase your awareness of available resources.

The Idaho Viral Hepatitis Prevention Program works closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to address hepatitis in Idaho. A Viral Hepatitis Prevention Coordinator (VHPC) partners with community partners throughout the state to promote awareness, implement Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) screening projects, and coordinate training opportunities. For more information on existing initiatives in Idaho, please call (208) 334-5518.
