Promoting and protecting the health and safety of all Idahoans

Idaho Mental Health Services

The State of Idaho provides state funded and operated community based mental health care services through Regional Behavioral Health Centers (RBHC) located in each of the seven geographical regions of the state. Each RBHC provides mental health services through a system of care that is both community-based and consumer-guided.

Interpreter services and language assistance are available for anyone, including those with limited English speaking ability, the deaf and hard of hearing, and the blind and visually impaired.

The mission of the Division of Behavioral Health is to provide services of the highest quality by working together to inspire hope, recovery and resiliency in the lives of Idahoans living with behavioral health disorders and their families.

Strategic Vision for Building Idaho's Crisis System

The Division of Behavioral Health contracted with Beacon Health Option to assess Idaho's current behavioral health crisis system and provide recommendations to help build a statewide system. Beacon identified region-specific practices, including needs, gaps, opportunities, and national best practices. The results of Beacon's assessment and their recommendations are presented in the Idaho Crisis System of Care Report. The division will provide updates and next steps as the system continues to develop.

We strive to provide the highest standard of care and support possible. Your feedback will help us achieve this goal.
