Children's Champions in Action: Becoming an Effective Policy Advocate for Idaho's Next Generation
Participants will learn how to become champions in action, advance smart policies that improve the health and well-being of children and their families, and ensure that future generations thrive. This workshop will highlight current issues impacting Idaho's kids, while also providing training on how to engage as an effective policy advocate in Idaho.
Christine Tiddens, LMSW works at Idaho Voices for Children, directing a variety of policy advocacy efforts aimed at advancing the health and well-being of Idahoans. For over eight years, she has filled a variety of roles related to social and economic justice advocacy, including coalition leader, community organizer, lobbyist, and political strategist. Christine is also an adjunct professor at Boise State University’s School of Social Work. She earned her Master's in Social Work from Boise State University and holds B.S. degrees in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Idaho.
