Electronic Plan of Correction (ePOC) - Wednesday, October 08, 2014
On September 19, 2014 the Bureau sent an email to all Long Term Care providers in Idaho announcing our intent to implement the CMS ePOC.  We have submitted our request to CMS for their review and consideration, as well as approval.  Once the plan is approved we will initiate the steps necessary to implement the use of the ePOC, for both the provider community and our survey staff.  CMS has chosen to implement the ePOC in phases, with only the Long Term Care provider group being in the first phase.  In the event you missed the information in the email, here is the content:

I am pleased to announce that we will be implementing a web-based electronic plan of correction system.  We are currently working with CMS on this project; we do not have a firm implementation date.  I am expecting implementation sometime within the next 180 days.  The CMS Webinar will give you a sense of the process.  We anticipate providing additional training at the IHCA winter conference on February 18, 2015.

Below is the path to the provider ePOC training:

Enter the URL in your browser (or click on the link to the right) https://www.qtso.com/ > select Online Training (left panel, third from bottom) > select ePOC (seventh from top) > enter your Name and email address then click Go > select ePOC Provider Webinar then enter requested information plus the password epocpvdr

The webinar states it takes 53 minutes to complete.
