FAQs

Courses must include a hands-on skill training in order to be accepted.
1. For all licensed staff outlined in 16.04.11.400. 02 (ie. Employees or those individuals identified in a written formal agreement), a copy of a license or certification is required to assure compliance to 16.04.11.400.03
 
2. If a participant accesses the service through an outside source with or without referral from the DDA, the DDA is not required.

1. When the DDA provides the direct service  (ie. Billed through the DDA) the DDA is required to maintain a copy of the Criminal History check in the personnel file to verify Criminal History compliance in accordance with 16.05.06.

2. When the DDA does not provide the direct services (ie. through written formal agreement and not billed by the DDA), the DDA is not required to maintain a copy indicating verification of Criminal History compliance with 16.05.06. Written formal agreement between the agencies must state assurance to Criminal History requirement.

3. If a participant accesses the service through an outside source with or without referral from the DDA, the DDA is not required to ensure another provider’s compliance with the DDA rules.

When a participant has received an Axis I diagnosis as indicated by the DSM Classification of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) this indicates that they have been diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder, whether or not the participant is prescribed a behavior modifying medication for this diagnosis.
