About Cash Assistance

We have two different types of cash assistance programs: the Aid for Aged, Blind, and Disabled (AABD) Program, and the Temporary Assistance for Families in Idaho (TAFI) Program. These programs provide cash benefits for eligible low-income families and households to help pay for food, clothing, shelter, and other essentials.

The TAFI Program provides temporary cash assistance and work preparation services for families with kids. Eligible families receive a maximum of $309 per month for up to a lifetime limit of 24 months. Read more.

The AABD Program provides cash assistance for individuals who are 65 or older, blind, or disabled. Eligible individuals receive a certain amount of cash each month. The amount an individual receives is based their unique circumstances such as, living arrangements, income, and resources. Read more.
