Facility Fire Safety & Construction

This program provides oversight and management of the facility fire safety and building construction (FFS&C) requirements for all state licensed and/or federally certified health care facilities.  To accomplish these tasks, FFS&C staff perform facility plans reviews and approvals, on-site plan inspections/finalizations, consultations, and periodic facility fire and safety surveys, including complaint/fire investigations.  At present, our scope of responsibilitiy includes:
  • Ambulatory Surgery Centers
  • Hospitals
  • Nursing Facilities
  • Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities 
  • End Stage Renal Disease Facilities
  • Residential Care or Assisted Living Facilities

ePOC Survey Process and IDR Process - Friday, November 25, 2016

The electronic Plan of Correction (ePOC) has no relationship to the Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR) process.  A facility must follow instructions, found within the posted letter, outlining steps required to submit a request for IDR review.  Those requests for an IDR are not to be included as an attachment for a submitted Plan of Correction.  Please review the IDR process letter.
