Board of Health and Welfare to meet Aug. 15

The Idaho Board of Health and Welfare will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 8 a.m. MT Thursday, Aug. 15, via Webex and in Boise.

Agenda items include an update from Director Alex Adams on progress to date regarding child welfare, concurrence by the board of division administrator appointments, and adoption of a temporary rule docket for foster care licensing. Read the full agenda.

Reporters who would like to join the meeting by Webex should follow the link at the top of the agenda and enter the meeting id number and password. In accordance with title 74, chapter 2, the Idaho Open Meetings Law, limited in-person attendance is available in Room 7A in the PTC Building, 450 W. State St., Boise.

The Board of Health and Welfare is a rulemaking and advisory body that can adopt, amend, or repeal rules and standards of the department. The board’s seven citizen members are appointed by the governor, and each represents one of seven geographic regions in the state. The board also includes the department director, a representative from the governor's office, and the chairs of the germane committees for the Health and Welfare committees in the Idaho Legislature.
