Women's Health Check

Idaho Women’s Health Check provides FREE breast and cervical cancer screenings and diagnostic testing to low-income, uninsured women across Idaho.

While most screening results are normal, detecting breast or cervical cancers and pre-cancers early increases the chance of successful treatment. Women screened or diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer through the Women’s Health Check program may be eligible to receive treatment through breast and cervical cancer program funded through Medicaid.

Screening and treatment

Early detection saves lives! When found early, 98 percent of women will still be living after a breast or cervical cancer diagnosis.

Women screened or diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer may be eligible to receive treatment through Breast and Cervical Cancer Medicaid Program.

When found eligible for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, participants may receive Medicaid benefits including:

  • Surgery
  • Radiation
  • Chemotherapy
  • Drug therapy, until their physician determines that their cancer is in remission and only requires monitoring.
