Funding opportunity – now open!

Project Filter and the Women’s Health Check (WHC) Program are accepting subgrant applications from Idaho clinics, health systems, or chronic-disease prevention focused community organizations that serve rural populations to administer patient enrollment into the WHC program and to implement tobacco screening protocols within their facilities.

The primary goals are to recruit and enroll eligible patients for the WHC program, while implementing evidence-based interventions for tobacco screening and cessation.

The programs plan to fund up to seven (7) organizations under this announcement. Funding per subgrantee organization will be up to $40,100; full budget is contingent on availability of funds. The program has an estimated start date of January 20, 2026, ending on June 29, 2026, with amendments possible to continue this work through June 29, 2027.

The primary goal of this funding opportunity it to increase the reach of breast/cervical cancer screening and tobacco use disorder screening for eligible individuals.

By applying, eligible applicants acknowledge the following requirements:

  • Applicants spending $750,000.00 or more in federal funds during the Subgrant fiscal year shall have a Single Audit performed according to 2 CFR 200.500-521 (previously OMB A-133) and shall provide proof of spending.
