DHW offers a wide range of services to support healthy aging and prevention of diseases and conditions to support Idahoans living a healthy and active life.
Financial and Resource Assistance
DHW helps meet the needs of families in crisis situations by providing food, cash, and other assistance to help them get back on the road to self-reliance.
Medicaid and Assisted Living Facilities
DHW provides healthcare services for low-income people and families, including the elderly and people with disabilities.
Diseases and Conditions
DHW monitors infectious diseases and conditions to safeguard Idaho citizens, prevent outbreaks, and provide resources for management and prevention.  DHW works to ensure that adults with behavioral health needs have access to treatment and services.

A free, statewide community information and referral service.  Our comprehensive database includes programs that offer free or low-cost health and human services or social services, and can be accessed by searching online, calling 2-1-1 or 800-926-2588, or texting 898211.
