The Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) has begun to post funding opportunities on its Rural Health Transformation Program webpage. Specific information about three opportunities and an overview of all the identified opportunities are now available. The three opportunities are Project Management Support, Perinatal Quality Collaborative, and OB Readiness.

The webpage is a central hub for information about Idaho’s participation in the federal Rural Health Transformation Program, including background materials, timelines, and resources for organizations interested in strengthening health care access in rural communities. DHW will update the page with information about funding opportunities, application materials, deadlines, and technical assistance resources as they become available.

Idaho’s Rural Health Transformation Program is designed to support innovative approaches to delivering care in rural areas, with a focus on improving access, strengthening the health care workforce, and helping rural providers remain financially sustainable.

Organizations interested in participating are encouraged to check the webpage regularly for funding announcements, informational webinars, key program milestones, and other information.

“Rural communities are essential to Idaho, and this program represents an opportunity to support local solutions that improve access to care,” said DHW Director Juliet Charron. “We encourage interested partners to stay connected and watch for upcoming opportunities.”

More information about Idaho’s Rural Health Transformation Program is available at DHW’s Rural Health Transformation Program Grant webpage.
