The Idaho state medical director advises the Bureau regarding clinical matters. This includes protocols, scope of practice, and licensure investigations. The medical director chairs the clinical advisory group (CAG) and is an ex officio member of the time sensitive emergencies (TSE) council and the EMS advisory committee (EMSAC).
