Library

Our free online Family and Community Services (FACS) library consists of a collection of books, games, DVDs, videos, and audio media. Our library materials have resources and information that include child development, substance abuse, kinship, health and mental wellness, and are designed for families, children, providers, and professionals. Materials are available in English and include a selection in Spanish. We encourage you to browse through our collection to find the resources most helpful to you.  

How does the library work?

All library books, games, DVDs, videos, and audio media are free and will be delivered directly to your door. A pre-paid postage envelope will be included for free returns.

Using the library

Apply for a member number

Send an email (English) or email (Spanish). to the Idaho CareLine. 

Include this information:

  • Your member name
  • Your complete mailing address (we will mail your library materials to this address)
  • Home and work telephone numbers
  • E-mail address
  • Your eligibility category (e.g., Foster Family, DHW Employee, Kincare Family, Agency Partner, FACS Family)

Check out materials

There are three convenient ways to check out materials from the FACS Resource Library: 

  1. Phone: Call 2-1-1 and ask the call agent to connect you with the FACS Resource Library
  2. Online Library: Browse the library and check out your materials online 
  3. Electronic (English): Fill out a Request Form or Electronic (Spanish): Fill out a Request Form.
