Idaho safe sleep legislation
During the 2018 legislative session, the Idaho Child Care Program updated state-wide rules for health and safety inspections for childcare providers to include safe sleep requirements. Effective July 1, 2018, all Idaho Child Care Program (ICCP) providers serving infants must integrate safe sleep practices into their care.
According to IDAPA 16.06.12 Rules Governing the Child Care Program (ICCP) "Safe Sleep. Providers must place newborn infants to twelve (12) months in a safe sleep environment. Safe sleep practices include, alone, on their backs, and in a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) certified crib. (3-28-18)."
