The treatment for uncomplicated gonorrhea has changed and dual therapy is no longer recommended. Gonorrhea infections should now be treated with a single 500 mg injection of ceftriaxone. Health care providers across Idaho are encouraged to incorporate this new treatment recommendation. View the 2020/2021 update to CDC’s treatment for gonococcal infections.
