Division of Welfare accepting public comment on LIHEAP waiver request

The Division of Welfare is holding a virtual public hearing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (MT) June 24 and will accept public comment about the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Weatherization Waiver Request. The waiver request allows Idaho to increase the amount of funding transferred from the LIHEAP program to be used for weatherization services.

DHW seeks public comment on Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant

DHW is accepting public comment on the proposed use of funds during federal fiscal year 2022 for the Preventive Health & Health Services Block Grant.

A public hearing will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. MT on Wednesday, May 18 via teleconference call-in.  

The plan will be available for public review, and copies may be obtained through written request to the Risk Reduction and Prevention Section, Division of Public Health, Idaho Department of Health and Welfare at RRPSection@dhw.idaho.gov

DHW to hold negotiated rulemaking sessions for rules pertaining to Certified Family Homes

The Department of Health and Welfare will be conducting virtual negotiated rulemaking sessions the third and fourth weeks of May in preparation of the repeal and replacement of IDAPA 16.03.19, “Certified Family Homes,” which will occur during the 2023 legislative session. Stakeholders are invited to attend the session offered for their regions. The sessions begin May 16 and end May 25. 

Medicaid to submit aged and disabled waiver amendments

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Division of Medicaid provides public notice of its intent to submit to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) amendments to the Aged and Disabled §1915(c) waiver and to the Medicaid State Plan/CHIP State Plan. These amendments pertain to the enrollment policy for dual-eligible participants enrolled in the Medicare Medicaid Coordinated Plan (MMCP). Public comment will be accepted through Jan. 9, 2022.
