Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Competency Center

Idaho Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (CoE) Assertive Community Treatment  (ACT) Competency Center

What is the ACT Competency Center?

The ACT Competency Center is a team of trained and certified ACT Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who collaboratively create, provide, and share expertise, best practices, and support ACT programs in Idaho

How can the ACT Competency Center help a provider in Idaho?

The ACT CoE team assists ACT providers with the implementation, coaching, mentoring, training, fidelity monitoring, technical assistance, and analysis of standards/guidelines to support administrative code, data analysis, and outcomes.

ACT is an evidence-based model

It utilizes a team-based approach to provide a range of intensive community-based services to people who experience Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and often have co-occurring substance abuse disorders. ACT teams strive to function as a psychiatric hospital without walls, helping people maintain recovery in the community and reduce psychiatric hospital and jail stays.

ACT CoE has partnered with University of Washington Spirit Lab to assist with: Manualized training, monthly coaching calls, ACT fidelity monitoring & training, role-specific training and coaching, and guided step-by-step implementation.
