Children's Medicaid covers children under the age of 19 years old who meet certain eligibility criteria. You can still qualify for children's Medicaid even if you have other health insurance. Medicaid covers both physical and behavioral health services as well as dental care. When children have special health care needs, often they will qualify for an enhanced Medicaid program with special services to meet their unique circumstances.
Who's Eligible?
To qualify, a child must live in Idaho and be:
- Under the age of 19
- A U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Within family income guidelines
