Residential Care or Assisted Living Facilities for the elderly/seniors include any facility or residence, however named, operated on either a profit or non-profit basis for the purpose of providing necessary supervision, personal assistance, meals, and lodging to three or more elderly adults not related to the owner.

The CCAC will consider nominations for one (1) membership position at its next meeting on April 28, 2020. The open membership position is reserved for a resident/family member of a residential assisted living facility (RALF). The CCAC is a 20-member council established in Sections 39-3511, 39-3330, 39-3331, 39-3332, and 39-3333, Idaho Code, that meets quarterly and advises the Department regarding certified family homes and residential care or assisted living facilities in (1) matters of policy regarding licensing or certification and enforcement standards; (2) proposed rules; and (3) an annual report submitted to the legislature stating opinions and recommendations that would further the state’s capability in addressing issues within these care settings.
If you are interested in serving as a member of the CCAC, please submit a letter of interest to the Council Coordinator by March 31, 2020. You are also invited to attend the next meeting on April 28, 2020, to introduce yourself to the council and explain how you might be able to contribute as a member. The council meets at 12:30 p.m. in Conference Room D East and D West at 3232 Elder Street, Boise, Idaho 83705.
