The Office of Communications, which also includes two designers, provides communications support for the department, as well as for eight divisions.

 Greg StahlPublic Information Manager | Greg Stahl is a public information manager in the Office of Communications. He’s worked as a print journalist, freelance copywriter, and NGO communications director, and has been with Health and Welfare since September 2020. A Ted Scripps Fellow in Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Stahl has studied water law, public land law, and natural resources law. He has a bachelor’s degree in English from Western State University in Colorado. |
 AJ McWhorterPublic Information Officer | AJ McWhorter is a public information officer in the Office of Communications. He’s worked in Oregon and Hawaii as an online editor, magazine editor, newspaper columnist, television news assignment manager, has handled communications for state government agencies and has produced specials and documentaries. He has been with DHW since November 2023. He has a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Northern Arizona University. |
